Laurie Paul-Fishleigh

Laurie Paul-Fishleigh joined SAI in 1981, starting out with Chinook Winds Chorus. She sang Lead with several quartets back in those days, Chaos, TNT, and Musical Flair. She also was the chorus choreographer for a while!

Laurie moved to Rhythm of the Rockies shortly after we chartered in 2002. Life then dictated a break from chorus for a few years, but she rejoined Rhythm in 2014. Laurie has had some significant health challenges, including one or two surgeries... okay, 23 surgeries! Nevertheless, she jumped right in, offering her skills on the administrative side with an optimistic outlook, strength of character, and always sunny disposition.

Works tirelessly for RotR, ensuring we abide by SAI rules and our own Standing Rules. She takes on difficult, detail-oriented duties and does a fantastic job.

She was our Team Co-ordinator 2019 - 2022, through a change in Director and a worldwide pandemic! She was co-chair of the RotR 20th Anniversary and Mary Hager’s Retirement Party. Has been and is our Contest Co-ordinator. Lots of administrative duties have passed through her hands. She’s on the risers consistently (or on a chair nearby when necessary) and is still trying her hand at quarteting, singing Tenor this time, with Kaleidoscope.

She’s a long-time member with a heart of gold, who dives in and does a great job of whatever she’s doing.

In her other life, Laurie is married to Stephen, has a grown son, Adam, and a black lab/retriever named Kasey. She is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and teaches Microsoft Office 365 productivity and collaboration. She has designed and created many training materials like user guides and reference cards. Laurie loves to spend summer weekends at Gleniffer Lake, her happy place is in the boat, out on the water!

She works tirelessly to ensure everything is in order for the chorus and has always been extremely supportive of our leaders.
Detail-oriented, tenacious, cheerful, dedicated, positive, trustworthy, talented, and eager to assist however she can.
Has the best smile and laugh. Always positive and enthusiastic. Inspires others by her positive determination to meet life’s challenges.
